Class Chat is an all-in-one platform that streamlines communication, tracks attendance, and boosts engagement through real-time analytics and a rewards system. It empowers educators with actionable insights to support student success while creating a secure space for learning.

As the Founding Lead Product Designer, I transformed Class Chat from a concept MVP into a scalable, intuitive platform that redefined how learning communities connect and thrive.

01

The Challenge

Schools faced a critical gap in engagement and communication. Traditional tools were fragmented, making it difficult for teachers to track participation and for administrators to gain real-time insights. Without a structured system, students lacked motivation, engagement suffered, and schools struggled with retention.

Beyond functionality, Class Chat itself needed to evolve—its brand lacked cohesion, the user experience felt disjointed, and its website was not optimized for conversion. Additionally, the product needed a scalable design system to support future expansion and ensure consistency across platforms.

The Solution

To address these challenges, I took a strategic and phased approach, ensuring that every aspect of Class Chat worked together seamlessly while allowing for rapid testing and iteration. Leading the product development roadmap, I structured the release into v0, v1, and v2 phases, prioritizing core functionalities to expedite launch and gather early user insights. This approach allowed us to continuously refine the product based on feedback while ensuring that essential features were delivered on time.

Brand & Website Transformation

Class Chat needed a clearer identity that resonated with its audience. I redesigned and built the marketing website from the ground up, improving user flows and conversion paths. This brand refresh and optimized UX led to a large increase in organic leads and a stronger digital presence.

Design System Implementation

To ensure long-term scalability and maintain consistency across the product, I developed a comprehensive design system. This system standardized UI components, typography, and color palettes, reducing handoff time between design, engineering, and marketing by 30%. This allowed for faster iteration cycles and a more seamless user experience across all touchpoints.

Web App Redesign & Engagement Strategy

I restructured the core platform experience, streamlining navigation and user interactions to make it more intuitive. This resulted in a 60% rise in user engagement as students and teachers found it easier to use. Additionally, I introduced a gamified rewards system, encouraging student participation and reinforcing positive behavior. This feature became a key driver for engagement and contributed to sales growth as schools and businesses saw value in incentivizing student participation.

Throughout the process, I used rapid prototyping and iterative design to test and validate solutions before implementation. By continuously gathering feedback and refining designs based on real user needs, we ensured that every change made a tangible impact on usability and engagement.
